Architecture has a been a discipline that has existed at the edge of the known and unknown, the Arts and the Sciences, since time immemorable. For architecture to evolve relevantly, it--and the cultures and communities it serves--must continuously question the natural and built environments and the human activities that take place within them, transform them, and are in turn transformed by them.
